Financial Advisor

Central One Federal Credit Union, Shrewsbury, MA

Serve the financial needs of credit union members.  Help members identify financial goals and objectives through face-to-face financial analysis and identify appropriate insurance and securities products to meet members’ goals and objectives. Achieve program revenue for TruStage Wealth Management Services, Inc. (TruStage) and Credit Union by developing long term relationships and utilizing prescribed methods to grow business.

Responsibilities

Serve Your Clients

  1. Cultivate strong relationships with members by consistently using the prescribed sales process.
  2. Cultivate strong working relationships and trust among credit union staff by conducting regular staff training, attendance/participation at credit union staff meetings and functions and sending referrals back to the Credit Union.
  3. Meet or exceed credit union cross-selling goals.
  4. Present a professional image in all interactions both personally and professionally.

Run Your Office

  1. Consistently and effectively utilize all tools, technology, and resources as prescribed by TruStage, LPL Financial and the Credit Union. Report immediately to your supervisor any issues interfering in your ability to appropriately serve clients or potential client complaints.
  2. Adhere to all FINRA and insurance rules and regulations, as well as to all company policies.
  3. Follow established policies and procedures of ethical market conduct.  Conduct business according to high standards of honesty, fairness, and integrity and render service to customers which in the same circumstance we would demand for ourselves.


Grow Your Business

  1. Meet or exceed individual production goals - with an appropriate product mix ensuring client needs are addressed holistically.
  2. Continually strive to grow business via Lobby Days, seminars and workshops, execution on system of referrals, segmentation of book of business, etc.
  3. In collaboration with the Credit Union, create and execute on an annual Marketing Plan.


Other

  1. Attend and participate in TruStage and LPL Financial meetings, virtual and face to face, as scheduled.
  2. Stay current on job-related equipment, procedures and/or information by reading handouts/memos, attending meetings and seminars and other necessary means.
  3. Adhere to all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.
  4. Maintain community involvement and participate in special projects, as needed.
  5. Perform other duties as requested, or assigned. 

Requirements/Skills Needed

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance or equivalent trade-off in professional work experience. 

Must have MA individual Life/Health/Variable Insurance License in good standing prior to employment. Must transfer FINRA Registration Series 6, Series 63 and / or Series 7 within 30 days of employment. LUTCF, CLU, ChFC or CFP designation preferred. *LI-EG

Experience:  Minimum of three (3) years of successful financial services sales experience with verifiable commission history of at least $150,000 Gross Dealer Concessions.

Skills:  Demonstrated ability to effectively build business relationships with diverse clients. Demonstrated ability to translate complex information, create and deliver an effective message scaled to the appropriate audience.
