Senior Infrastructure Engineer

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will serve as one of primary authorities for our corporate network, which includes a modern on-premises hardware and software stack, as well as a deep integration with Microsoft’s cloud for Software as a Service (SaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solutions. Taking full ownership of the tools required to monitor, maintain, update, and secure these assets, you will be instrumental in driving our commitment to technological excellence. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining related process documentation and training team members on successful tool and technology utilization.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation, security, and scalability of both our on-premises and cloud environments, playing a key role in driving our technology strategy forward.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, secure, and optimize our Office365 environment, including Teams, Teams Voice, and Teams Rooms. 
  • Ensure infrastructure security and compliance, leveraging tools like Azure Information Protection and Purview. 
  • Manage and secure our cloud infrastructure, primarily focusing on Office365 and Azure Identity and related services, and secondarily in Azure IaaS services.
  • Design, implement, and manage networking solutions, ensuring high availability and performance, particularly with Fortinet hardware and software solutions.
  • Document infrastructure architectures, processes, and policies. Mentor and train new and existing IT staff on technology and process.
  • Collaborate with different teams to understand and meet their infrastructure needs. Stay current with emerging technologies and propose adoption where beneficial.

Requirements/Skills Needed

  • Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. Relevant certifications in networking, cloud technologies, or system administration are highly desirable Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Expertise in networking concepts and experience with Fortinet solutions, such as FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
  • Strong experience in Office365 administration, including Teams, Teams Voice, and Teams Rooms.
  • Proficient with Azure Identity management and related cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Azure Compute, Storage, and Network technologies.
