Senior Vice President - Chief Financial Officer

Hartford FCU is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee finance, accounting, and IT operations. The CFO will direct all accounting, finance-related, and IT activities for the Credit Union and manage Accounting and IT staff.  

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation and presentation of the operating budget, financial reports, regulatory reports, and other miscellaneous reports to executive management and the Board. 
  • Direct all accounting, finance-related, and IT activities for the Credit Union and manage Accounting and IT staff.  
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and legal requirements for the reporting and management of all financial activities for the Credit Union. 
  • Administer the Credit Union’s investment portfolio, asset/liability management activity, and financial reporting in collaboration with the executive management team and direct reports.

Requirements/Skills Needed

Requirements: Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in financial institution accounting and financial management, including extensive supervisory experience. An MBA and/or CPA is preferred.

Skills needed: Strong leadership skills, the ability to manage and achieve long-term growth goals, strategic planning skills, and demonstrated ability to execute. The CFO will collaborate with the executive leadership team, staff at all levels, and the Board of Directors. Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), technical, and management skills are required.
